EBT is Back

After mountains of paperwork, countless phone calls, and a new found level of patience, we finally have EBT back up and running! Our team let out a big sigh of relief and threw a mini celebration when we heard the news last week.

Being able to accept EBT is central to Corbin Hill’s flexible model. When we say we are trying to make sure everyone can afford fresh, healthy food, we mean it. EBT acceptance is an essential element of that, and we are so relieved to have it up and running again!

We are particularly excited about EBT this year because of our new Social Impact Program. Our team developed this program as a way to offer our Shareholders with greater means the opportunity to pay a little extra to help those Shareholders who are paying with EBT or SNAP. We have been so inspired by how many individuals have participated in our Social Impact Program this season, and we can’t wait to see where it goes in the upcoming year.

We are a little over three months away from the New Year. As we approach the giving season and new year, talk to your friends and family members about putting aside a little extra money each week toward becoming a Social Impact Shareholder. During our upcoming season, Social Impact Shareholders only pay $5 more per Share. If you make coffee at home or skip your morning bodega bacon, egg, and cheese, you could help contribute to greater food security by lowering the cost of Farm Share for another family in your community.

What’s In Season?

Cauliflower is an office favorite at Corbin Hill. Especially when used in this Roasted Garlic Parmesan Cauliflower recipe. If you receive cauliflower in your Share this week, give this recipe a whirl. You can also find recipes for any item you might get this week by visiting our recipes section. Happy Cooking!
