Swap Box

Are you tired of kale or tomatoes not really your jam? If there is an item you don’t want in your Share, swap it for something you like! We are always brainstorming ways to offer our Shareholders more choice. Creating a Farm Share Swap Box was our way of enabling Shareholders to trade items they might not want or need for items they like more. Here’s how it works. Let’s say your Share includes 3 cucumbers and you already have cucumbers at home. You notice someone put their Share of 4 zucchini in the Swap Box. You can place your 3 cucumbers into the box and take out the 4 zucchini. It’s a Share for a Share trade. There are a number of factors that are taken into account when putting together your Shares each week, including what’s available, how much longer other items may be available, variety, what you’ve received for the past few weeks, weather changes, size of the cases we receive from the farmers, the feedback you provide to your site coordinator about what you like or don’t like, and the number of Shareholders participating each week to name a few.

The green goddess of summer is here. SPINACH! Keep your eyes peeled for these tasty greens this season. Try out the following Spinach Shakshuka recipe, or just eat yourself a handful. It's that good. We also have other spinach recipes on our recipe tab. Happy Cooking!
