Mission & Vision
Our mission is simple, to supply fresh food to those who need it most. As a values-driven organization, we achieve this through the distribution of local, farm fresh food to communities throughout New York City. We utilize a flexible a model that prioritizes the needs of the communities, organizations and institutions that we serve with a particular emphasis on serving the needs of low-income communities and communities of color.
Corbin Hill has a longer term vision of achieving food sovereignty, racial equity, and community ownership. We believe access to fresh, affordable food is a basic human right, and we won’t stop until it’s available for all.
Corbin Hill Food Project is a Harlem-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and social enterprise.
"Corbin Hill does not view itself as solely an aggregator of food serving vulnerable populations. It has a longer term vision that entails a community owning its food system through sovereignty, community control, and the shifting of power through decision making within a community's food system."
