City Council Chairs and Committee Members
Corbin Hill Food Project testified at the Oversight Hearing on Food Insecurity in New York City on April 19, 2023 hosted by Chairperson Diana Ayala and members of the NYC Council Committee on General Welfare, Chairperson Crystal Hudson and members of the NYC Council Committee on Aging, and Chairperson Darlene Mealy and the members of the NYC Council SubCommittee on Senior Centers and Food Insecurity. Corbin Hill Food Project advocated for large and sufficient investments in organizations’ infrastructure and capacity building to create long term solutions to address food insecurity. These investments will ensure that organizations like ours and our partners can continue our work collectively and long term to create the supports for an alternative system that is self-sustaining, community-owned and controlled, and builds community wealth.
